Time tracking, for one person

Know where your hours actually go.

TimeTrakk is a timer and a timesheet that stay honest. Track time against your projects and tags, see the week broken down to the minute, and export a record you can bill from, hand over or just learn from. If you work overtime, it banks that too.

Who it's for

Four people arrive here wanting four different things from a timer. No setup, no teams, no timesheet approval workflow — one person and their own hours.

Salaried, and working the extra hours anyway

You aren't paid by the hour, so the extra is easy to give away and hard to prove. Track it, bank it against the week, and have a dated record the next time it comes up.

Contractors and freelancers

Put every job on its own project, see which ones really take the time you quoted, and export a timesheet you can invoice from. TimeTrakk counts the hours; the rate stays yours.

Anyone who needs to show their work

A dated log of what you did and for how long beats remembering at review time — and answers “what did March actually look like?” with something better than a shrug.

Side projects you'd never bill anyone for

Tracking isn't only for work. Run a timer on a product you're building, a renovation, a course or a book, and find out where the evenings actually went.

How it works

1. Start the timer, or type it in later

Hours go against a project and as many tags as you like. The picker is built for a phone, so logging yesterday's afternoon takes seconds rather than a mental arithmetic exercise.

2. See where the week actually went

The dashboard shows what you've tracked, what you still need to reach your target, and how the week breaks down by project — with totals in hours and minutes, never rounded to a number you'd have to defend.

3. Take the record with you

Export a timesheet CSV, a claims CSV or a full JSON backup whenever you like, or have the weekly summary land in your inbox. Your hours come out in a shape you can hand to someone.

Everything it does

Tracking that fits a real day

A running timer, manual entries, overnight shifts, edits and your own timezone.

Reports you can hand over

Exact totals down to the minute, breakable by project, tag, day or week.

Projects and tags

Colour-coded, archivable, each with its own overtime rules if you use them.

Export whenever you want

Timesheet CSV, claims CSV or a full JSON backup. No lock-in to argue with.

If you do work overtime, it's a balance

You work the extra Friday. The week closes. The extra hours become a number somebody remembers, and the next time you ask, it's a slightly different number. Give a project a weekly or monthly limit and the hours past it become banked overtime for that project: claim them on a light week, and the claim counts toward the week it lands in. Every claim keeps its date, amount and note, so the balance is auditable rather than remembered. Don't work overtime? Ignore all of this — nothing else changes.

Trakki, the built-in assistant

Ask about your own numbers

Trakki answers from your records rather than from a guess. Ask “how much time went on the redesign last month?”, “what did I work on yesterday?” or “how much overtime have I earned this month?” and it reads the database, not the vibe. It can also draft a time entry from a sentence — and it never writes anything until you confirm it.

It's a normal assistant for everything else too. Included AI comes with both plans; on Pro you can attach your own OpenAI key instead and use it as much as you like.

The last one becomes a draft you confirm — nothing is saved until you say so.

Simple pricing

Both plans include unlimited tracking. The difference is how the assistant is paid for.

Compare the plans in detail

Your hours are yours

  • Export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you want — timesheet, claims, or the lot.
  • Delete your account yourself, with a typed confirmation. Every row you own goes with it.
  • Every table is protected by row-level security, so the database refuses to hand your records to another account.
  • If your plan lapses the app goes read-only. Nothing is deleted, ever.

Questions people actually ask

I don't work overtime — is this for me?

Yes, and most people using it don't. The tracking, projects, tags, reports and export are the product; overtime banking is a section you can ignore entirely. It's there for the people who need to prove the extra hours they worked.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The trial is 14 days with no card, and every feature is available for the whole period. The assistant's included AI is deliberately limited during the trial (about 30 questions) — every free question costs real money to answer, and a small allowance is what keeps the trial free for everyone.

What happens when the trial ends?

The app goes read-only. Nothing is deleted, everything stays readable and exportable, and you can upgrade whenever you like. We don't take your hours hostage and we don't quietly delete them.

Can I use my own OpenAI key?

On Pro, yes — you get unlimited assistant use and your choice of model, billed to your own OpenAI account. On the trial and Standard, the assistant uses AI included with the plan, so there's nothing to sign up for.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The dashboard, the timer and the entry form are built for a phone first, because that's usually where the day gets logged.

Where does my data live?

In Postgres with row-level security: every table is scoped to your account, and the database itself refuses to hand your rows to anyone else. You can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time, and delete your account with a typed confirmation.
